Your child is ready to try new things, explore their own artistry, and develop skills that can be used for many years. From the time our students step into the Aspiring Artists progam, until the time they move to the next level, they transform from shy children to confident pre-teens
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
The SDS staff is trained on how to work with children in this delicate age group. One day they tell you that you don’t know anything, and the next day they are hugging you for no reason at all. We get it! Your child will learn to connect their emotions to dance, and feel what it’s like to “dance it out”. Many students have said, “I was having the worst day ever, until I came to class”. When a child gets to move and express themselves, the inside heals.

Aspiring Artists Choices
- Classic Program -> Students study tap, jazz, musical theater, and broadway jazz
- Expressions Program -> Students study hip hop, lyrical, modern, and improvisational dance
- Ballet Program -> Students study ballet, pre-pointe, and work toward pointe
